Your home on the site: what is coming up, how you are doing, badges, trophies and the leaderboard.

Your dashboard

Your Dashboard is your home on the site. On a wide screen, what needs you is in a column on the right; on a phone it comes first.

  • Coming up: your next class tests and exams with a countdown, a test you left half done, and Your form (your last 10 results against the 10 before).
  • Inbox: your newest notices, unread ones marked. Mark all read clears them.
  • My exams: the exams you prepare for, the live series you follow, and series you have not joined yet.
  • My Classes and My Groups, with a box to join each by code.
  • Links along the top go to My performance, My mistakes and vaults, Build a Test, My Content and My Feedback. On a phone the row scrolls sideways.
  • My Content and Saved: everything you wrote, and everything you saved with Save.

My performance

My performance shows your scores over time, your average and best, right answers and blanks, each subject, strong topics and ones to work on (with questions to practise), and your percentile in live exams. Only results that are out count, and only you see it.

Streak and active days

  • Day Streak: days in a row you came and did anything on the site. A missed day breaks it, but your best streak is kept.
  • Active Days: every day you have come, since you joined. It only grows.
  • Problems Reviewed and Quizzes Mastered: tap either for the list. Reviewed is your own note; Mastered counts only a quiz you answered right.

Badges

Badges unlock by themselves the moment you reach them. Nobody awards them by hand. They show on your profile, and your standout one appears beside your name in discussions. With several subjects, your profile shows your badges in each subject too.

    Completed 5 courses.

    Solved 10 problems.
  • Content Creator
    Uploaded 10 problems.
  • Community Builder
    10 students enrolled across your courses.
  • Live regular
    Sat 10 StemPy Lab live exams.
  • Top tenth ten times
    Finished in the top 10% of 10 live exams.
  • Active Voice
    Posted 20 comments.
  • Prolific Author
    Published 25 courses.
  • Popular Teacher
    Received 25 four/five-star ratings on your content.
  • Dedicated Learner
    Solved 50 problems.
  • Live fifty
    Sat 50 StemPy Lab live exams.

Blue badges are for learning and taking part; gold ones for teaching and top finishes. On your dashboard, a new badge is marked New, and the three badges nearest to you show how far along you are.

Leader trophies and medals

Trophies are won, not unlocked. Whoever tops the combined Overall score for a closed day, week or month earns that trophy on their profile for good. Ties share it. With several subjects, the weekly and monthly trophies are also given per subject.

Group challenge medals (gold, silver and bronze) are under Group Achievements on your dashboard. The Live Series gives a monthly trophy to its top three. See the Live Series.

The leaderboard

The leaderboard ranks students in several categories, and a combined Overall:

  • Test Scorers: the average of your best result on each test. You need three different tests to qualify.
  • Most Improved: whose average rose most in the last 14 days against the 14 before (three tests in each).
  • Community Helpers, Course Completers, Learning Paths Completed and Top Contributors.
  • Live Series: points from StemPy Lab's live exams this week and month.

Only things our server can check are ranked. Your streak, active days and problems reviewed stay personal, on your dashboard. Your dashboard's Scoreboard shows where you stand in each category.

Not open yet?

A board with a few names tells every visitor nobody is here, so the public leaderboard opens once enough learners have joined. Points, badges and trophies count all along, so nothing is lost while it is closed.
