Choose the kind of question first (one correct, several correct, a number, or a mix). The test is saved privately to your dashboard. The questions AI writes for your practice stay with your test; they are not added to the question bank.

1. Attach a file

   A past paper, homework or notes: a PDF of up to 10 pages, or a photo. Use the attach button in AI practice or Build a Test.

2. Get new questions

   The AI writes new questions on the same topics, not copies of the paper's own. The file is deleted once they are written.

Practice from a file has its own small daily limit (shown under the attach button), and also counts in the usual daily limit.

Standard and PremiumMake a note with AI

Say what you want to study and the level. You get a teacher-style note: the big ideas, a worked example, common mistakes, and five questions that make you think, with pointers for your answers. On a free lesson, Make a note from this lesson does the same.

The note is your own private note under My Content. Edit it, ask for a simpler, harder, shorter or more-examples version (two rewrites per note), print it or share it with a group. With Premium you can make it public. It always carries an AI-made badge.

Admins, and teachers an admin has enabled, see Generate with AI on the problem, quiz, lab, course and note forms, and in question vaults and the test builder. Using a file as the source is a separate, narrower permission.

Pictures. The AI can draw a simple line diagram (a circuit, a ray diagram, forces, a graph, a geometry figure). From a PDF or photo you attach, it can copy a figure when the content is kept exactly as in your file; if it changes the numbers, it draws a new diagram instead. It cannot make photographs: it tells you which picture to attach. Every picture it adds is marked "please check".

Each plan has a daily number of AI uses. A site admin can turn AI features off for everyone at any time. If you do not see an AI button you expected, that is the most likely reason, not a fault.
