Try it on paper first. A hint, the key idea and the worked solution are here when you need them.
A farmer keeps cows. Each cow gives litres of milk a day, and the milk sells at rupees a litre. Each cow eats kg of concentrate a day at rupees a kg, and kg of roughage a day at rupees a kg. For one day, find the income from milk, the cost of the feed and the profit over the feed.
Animal husbandry is the scientific management of livestock. Milch animals give milk and draught animals do farm work; the cow is Bos indicus and the buffalo is Bos bubalis. The milk in one lactation is the milk of a day times the days. Exotic breeds give a long lactation; local breeds resist disease.
Have you tried it?
