The range of a jet from a tank

A tank on the ground holds water $3.0\ \text{m}$ deep. Holes could be made at any depth. You will make the program find the speed of the jet from each depth, where each jet lands, and the depth that sends the jet farthest.

The idea. From a hole $h$ below the surface the water leaves at $v = \sqrt{2gh}$ (Torricelli). It falls $H - h$ to the ground in $\sqrt{\dfrac{2(H - h)}{g}}$, so it lands $v$ times that away.

Your tasks.

1. Work out the speed v of the jet from every depth in h.
2. Work out where each jet lands, R.
3. Find the depth that sends the jet farthest, and how far it goes.
