Try it on paper first. A hint, the key idea and the worked solution are here when you need them.
Name the disorder in each case.
Asthma is the inflammation of the bronchi and bronchioles, with wheezing. Emphysema is the damage of the alveolar walls, a smaller respiratory surface, and smoking is a major cause. Dust in grinding and stone-breaking industries causes inflammation and fibrosis.
Have you tried it?
Work it out on paper first. It is fine to get stuck or make a mistake: that is how we learn. When you are ready, go through the solution one step at a time, and check each step against your own.
Step 1. (a) Asthma.
Step 2. (b) Emphysema.
Step 3. (c) An occupational respiratory disorder, with fibrosis.
Answer: (a) asthma; (b) emphysema; (c) an occupational respiratory disorder.
