Try it on paper first. A hint, the key idea and the worked solution are here when you need them.
In an aquarium, a Hydra makes one bud every days. Each bud breaks away, and buds in its turn at the same rate. Starting with one Hydra, how many are there after days?
In asexual reproduction one parent makes new individuals without gametes: fission (binary in Amoeba and Leishmania, multiple in Plasmodium), fragmentation (Spirogyra), regeneration (Planaria), budding (Hydra), spores (Rhizopus) and vegetative propagation in plants. In binary fission each round doubles the number of cells.
Have you tried it?
Work it out on paper first. It is fine to get stuck or make a mistake: that is how we learn. When you are ready, go through the solution one step at a time, and check each step against your own.
