Try it on paper first. A hint, the key idea and the worked solution are here when you need them.
Gopal has no fever, no pain and no disease that a doctor can find. But he has lost his job, he stays alone in his room all day, and he cannot sleep for worry. Is he healthy? Use the three parts of health in your answer.
Health is being well enough to function well physically, mentally and socially. It is more than having no disease. It depends on the person and on the community: clean water, clean surroundings, food, work, social equality and harmony.
Have you tried it?
Work it out on paper first. It is fine to get stuck or make a mistake: that is how we learn. When you are ready, go through the solution one step at a time, and check each step against your own.
Step 1. The three parts. Health is physical, mental and social well-being.
Step 2. Gopal's body. No disease is found, so his physical health may be good.
Step 3. His mind and social life. He worries and cannot sleep, so his mental health is poor. He stays alone, so his social health is poor too.
Answer: no. Health is more than having no disease. Gopal is not healthy, because his mental and social health are poor.
