Try it on paper first. A hint, the key idea and the worked solution are here when you need them.
An oscilloscope shows a sine wave with a peak value of V and a period of ms. Find the frequency, the angular frequency and the rms value. Then find the voltage ms after a moment when the voltage was zero and rising.
An AC voltage is , with and . The rms values are and . The average power in a resistor is . For any waveform, the rms value is the root of the mean of the square.
Have you tried it?
Work it out on paper first. It is fine to get stuck or make a mistake: that is how we learn. When you are ready, go through the solution one step at a time, and check each step against your own.
Step 1. The frequency. We want , so Hz.
Step 2. The angular frequency. rad/s.
Step 3. The rms value. V.
Step 4. The voltage. Starting from zero and rising, . The angle is rad, which is . So V.
Answer: Hz, rad/s, V and V.
Check. ms is a little less than a quarter of the period of ms, which is ms. So the voltage is a little below the peak of V. It fits.
