Push a toy car with a force. Push a loaded truck with the same force. They do not speed up in the same way. Why not? This course gives the rule. It is Newton's second law. We also meet momentum, which tells us how hard a moving thing is to stop.

Momentum is mass multiplied by velocity. It tells us how hard it is to stop a moving object.
A bigger force gives a bigger acceleration. A bigger mass gives a smaller acceleration. Newton's second law puts the two together.
A force changes the momentum of an object. The same change of momentum needs a smaller force when it takes a longer time.
A plan with four steps that works for every force problem: draw, find the net force, use the law, then use the equations of motion.
