Weekly challenge: how long does a ball dropped from 45 m take to land?

Here is a small challenge for this week. You may use the physics, or Python, or both.

A ball is dropped from rest from a height of $45$ m. Ignore the air, and take $g = 9.8\ \text{m/s}^2$.

1. How long does it take to reach the ground?
2. How fast is it moving just before it lands?
3. If the height were four times bigger, would the time be four times bigger? Predict first, then check.
