Try it on paper first. A hint, the key idea and the worked solution are here when you need them.
A trolley is at the positions 0, 3, 12, 27, 48, 75 and 108 metres at the times 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 seconds. Find the speed in each second and the acceleration. What kind of motion is this?
Have you tried it?
Work it out on paper first. It is fine to get stuck or make a mistake: that is how we learn. When you are ready, go through the solution one step at a time, and check each step against your own.
Plan. np.diff of the positions, divided by np.diff of the times, is the speed in each second. The same step on the speeds gives the acceleration.
Check. The speeds are 3, 9, 15, 21, 27 and 33 m/s. Each second the speed grows by 6, so the acceleration is 6 m/s2 every time. These positions are , which is the formula with .
Answer: speeds [ 3. 9. 15. 21. 27. 33.] m/s, and a constant acceleration of 6 m/s2. It is motion with a constant acceleration from rest.
