Try it on paper first. A hint, the key idea and the worked solution are here when you need them.
Team A scored points in five matches, and team B scored . Find the mean and the range of each team. Which team is more consistent?
The mean says where the data is; the spread says how much it varies. Two sets with the same mean can be very different.
Have you tried it?
Work it out on paper first. It is fine to get stuck or make a mistake: that is how we learn. When you are ready, go through the solution one step at a time, and check each step against your own.
Step 1. Means. Both teams scored points in matches, so both means are points.
Step 2. Ranges. Team A: points. Team B: points.
Step 3. Consistent. Team A. Its scores stay within 4 points, while team B's swing by 55 points.
Answer: both means ; ranges and points; team A.
