Try it on paper first. A hint, the key idea and the worked solution are here when you need them.
Make a table for skeletal, smooth and cardiac muscle. Use four points: where it is found, the shape of the cells, whether it has stripes, and whether it is voluntary.
Skeletal muscle: striped, voluntary. Smooth: not striped, involuntary. Cardiac: striped, branched, involuntary. Neurons: dendrites receive, the axon carries the message away.
Have you tried it?
Work it out on paper first. It is fine to get stuck or make a mistake: that is how we learn. When you are ready, compare your working with the solution.
| Skeletal | Smooth | Cardiac | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where | attached to bones | gut, blood vessels | heart |
| Cells | long, many nuclei | spindle-shaped | branched |
| Stripes | yes | no | yes |
| Voluntary | yes | no | no |
