Try it on paper first. A hint, the key idea and the worked solution are here when you need them.
One card is drawn from a well-shuffled pack of cards. Find the probability that it is (a) a red king, (b) a face card.
A pack has cards: suits of , with spades and clubs black and hearts and diamonds red. There are face cards (jack, queen, king) and cards of each kind. In an "or" question, count a card that is in both groups once. If cards are removed, divide by the cards left.
Have you tried it?
Work it out on paper first. It is fine to get stuck or make a mistake: that is how we learn. When you are ready, go through the solution one step at a time, and check each step against your own.

Step 2. Face cards. in each of suits: cards, so .
