Try it on paper first. A hint, the key idea and the worked solution are here when you need them.
An element has one kind of atom and cannot be broken down by a chemical change. Metals shine, are malleable, ductile and sonorous, and conduct heat and electricity; non-metals mostly do not; metalloids lie between. Symbols have a capital first letter; some come from Latin names (Na, K, Fe, Cu, Ag, Au, Pb, Hg).
Have you tried it?
Work it out on paper first. It is fine to get stuck or make a mistake: that is how we learn. When you are ready, go through the solution one step at a time, and check each step against your own.
Step 1. (a) Nitrogen , magnesium , potassium (kalium), silver (argentum), mercury (hydrargyrum).
Step 2. (b) aluminium, calcium, iron (ferrum), lead (plumbum), zinc.
Answer: As above. The symbols from Latin names have to be learnt by heart.
