Try it on paper first. A hint, the key idea and the worked solution are here when you need them.
Name the method used to get each metal from its compound: sodium, iron, copper (from a copper ore), aluminium, mercury, zinc.
An ore is a mineral that gives a metal at a profit; gangue is the waste in it. Top of the series: electrolysis of the molten compound. Middle: roast sulphides or calcine carbonates to oxides, then reduce with carbon. Bottom: heat, or found free. Copper is refined by electrolysis: impure anode, pure cathode, anode mud.
Have you tried it?
Work it out on paper first. It is fine to get stuck or make a mistake: that is how we learn. When you are ready, go through the solution one step at a time, and check each step against your own.
Step 1. Electrolysis of the molten compound. Sodium and aluminium.
Step 2. Reduction with carbon. Iron and zinc.
Step 3. Heating the ore. Copper (from its sulphide, by self-reduction) and mercury (from cinnabar).
Answer: as above.
