Try it on paper first. A hint, the key idea and the worked solution are here when you need them.
A village has a new supply of clean water and a clean market. But most of the young people in it have no work, and two groups of families no longer speak to each other. A health worker says the village is still not as healthy as it could be. Explain what she means, using the factors that affect health.
Health is being well enough to function well physically, mentally and socially. It is more than having no disease. It depends on the person and on the community: clean water, clean surroundings, food, work, social equality and harmony.
Have you tried it?
Work it out on paper first. It is fine to get stuck or make a mistake: that is how we learn. When you are ready, go through the solution one step at a time, and check each step against your own.
Step 1. What is in place. Clean water and clean surroundings help physical health.
Step 2. What is missing. Without work there is little money for food and doctors, and the young people may be worried. This harms mental and physical health.
Step 3. Social harmony. Quarrels between families harm social health, and stress adds to mental ill health.
Answer: health depends on many things together. Clean water and surroundings are not enough if there is no work and no social harmony.
