Try it on paper first. A hint, the key idea and the worked solution are here when you need them.
A student reduces of butanone to butan-2-ol with sodium borohydride in ethanol. Use for butanone, for butan-2-ol and for NaBH. Find the amount of butanone, the least mass of NaBH that can reduce it, and the mass of alcohol obtained at an yield.
Acid hydration puts OH on the more substituted carbon. Hydroboration then oxidation puts it on the less substituted carbon, and one BH takes three alkene molecules. NaBH reduces four C=O groups for each formula unit. A Grignard reagent adds its R group to the carbonyl carbon. Yield .

Work it out on paper first. It is fine to get stuck or make a mistake: that is how we learn. When you are ready, go through the solution one step at a time, and check each step against your own.
Given. butanone, yield .
Step 1. Butanone. .
Step 2. Borohydride. Four ketone molecules per NaBH: . Mass: .
Step 3. Alcohol. Theoretical: . At : .
Check. In practice a little extra borohydride is used, because some reacts with the solvent.
