Try it on paper first. A hint, the key idea and the worked solution are here when you need them.
A meristem cell divides into two every hours, and every new cell does the same. Starting with one cell, how many cells are there after days?
Meristems are where plant cells divide: apical at the tips (length), lateral or cambium at the sides (thickness), intercalary at the base of leaves. Each division doubles the cells: after divisions.
Have you tried it?
Work it out on paper first. It is fine to get stuck or make a mistake: that is how we learn. When you are ready, go through the solution one step at a time, and check each step against your own.
Step 1. Hours. hours.
Step 2. Divisions. divisions.
Step 3. Cells. cells.
