Refraction and Refractive Index: Challenge Paper
An Olympiad-style paper: 10 questions in 20 minutes, 2 minutes a question, +3 for a right answer and -1 for a wrong one. Snell's law, refractive indices from speeds, light passing from one medium to another, glass slabs and apparent depth. One asks you to choose a drawing. Every answer has a worked solution that names the usual slip.

Before you start

- The clock starts when you press Begin the test, after you have read the instructions, and keeps running even if you reload or leave. At zero, your saved answers are submitted.
- Leaving the test window is recorded, and your teacher can see it.
- Your score, the answers and the explanations show when you finish, with where you stand among everyone who has taken it.
