You will write three small functions. One finds the share of an electron charge across a bond. One picks the bond with the largest dipole moment, and another picks the bond with the largest share. The last predicts a boiling point from the trend of a series.
The idea. The dipole moment is charge times length, so the charge is the dipole moment divided by the length. A bond can have the largest dipole moment without having the largest charge.
Your tasks.
charge_share(mu, length_pm) so that it returns the percentage of one electron charge that is separated.largest_dipole to the halogen with the largest dipole moment, and largest_share to the halogen with the largest share.predict_bp(known, n) so that it returns the boiling point for n carbon atoms, from the average rise of the series.Have you tried it?
Do the tasks in the editor first, and run the checker after each one. Its hints help when a check fails. When you are ready, compare your code with this solution.
