You will write three functions for two quantitative methods: the back titration of ethanol with dichromate and iron(II), and Zeisel's method for methoxy groups.
The idea. One dichromate takes six iron(II). Three ethanol are oxidised to the acid by two dichromate. In Zeisel's method, each OCH group gives one silver iodide.
Your tasks.
dichromate_left(iron_mmol) so that it returns the millimoles of dichromate left over, from the millimoles of iron(II) used.ethanol_mg(added_mmol, iron_mmol) so that it returns the mass of ethanol in mg.methoxy_groups(sample_g, agi_g, molar_mass) so that it returns the number of OCH groups in one molecule.Have you tried it?
Do the tasks in the editor first, and run the checker after each one. Its hints help when a check fails. When you are ready, compare your code with this solution.
