Load the elements into a pandas table, sort and filter them, plot the periodic trends, and look for patterns: which properties go together, and which elements break the rule.

A pandas DataFrame turns the periodic table into data you can question. You build one for the first 36 elements from a block of text, then pick columns, look up an element, sort, filter with conditions joined by &, and add a computed column.
A plot shows the periodic trends at a glance. You plot the first ionisation enthalpy against the atomic number, colour the points by block and label the noble gases. Then you compare the radius across period 3 with the radius down group 1.
pandas can find the patterns for you. groupby gives the mean of each block, and corr measures how two columns move together. diff inside each period finds the elements that break the rise, such as boron and oxygen.
